The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon was an amazing read that gripped me from the moment i picked it up. I cant recommend it highly enough if you are remotely interested in true stories of adventure and mystery.
This tale has gripped explorers for the better part of 500 years and with Fawcett’s disappearance in 1925 speculation as to his fate ranged from starvation to transcention to another dimension. The ending will not disappoint. ;-)
Also, I’d expect a movie version in the near-term.
